More About the Procedure

VOLUMA treatments are performed in the office, and can usually be performed in less than 20 minutes.  While many dermal fillers require the use of topical anesthetics, VOLUMA contains lidocaine so additional anesthetics are not required and the procedure is safe and comfortable.  Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment, but are advised to avoid strenuous exercise, exposure to sun and heat, and alcoholic beverages for 24-48 hours.  The benefits of VOLUMA treatments are visible immediately, but some patients may experience mild to moderate side effects such as swelling, discoloration, itching, bruising, and tenderness at the injection sites.  These symptoms will subside within 2-4 weeks.
